Sr. Privacy Specialist, Amazon Customer Service

Overview

In this role you own the lifecycle of complex privacy programs within Customer Service Trust & Compliance, defining strategy and driving risk reduction across data processing. You collaborate with Legal, product teams, and privacy-focused groups to influence roadmap priorities and measure improvements that strengthen customer trust. You will translate regulatory and internal requirements into practical controls, oversee their rollout, and measure effectiveness across CS systems. Your work enables innovation at speed by embedding privacy from design and streamlining controls to reduce manual effort. Responsibilities

• Own the lifecycle of cross-functional privacy programs, including Records of Processing and Privacy Impact Assessments, from strategy to execution and continuous improvement
• Define program objectives and drive privacy improvements with measurable metrics aligned to business goals
• Assess privacy implications across products, services, and data flows; identify high-risk processing and implement mitigations
• Partner with Legal and product teams to negotiate obligations and present programs to leadership
• Operationalise regulatory and legal requirements into program controls; oversee rollout, testing, and effectiveness measurement
• Streamline processes and controls; enable automation to reduce manual work and accelerate innovation
• Manage vendor and third-party privacy governance; contribute to policies, contracts, and data transfer agreements

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
• Extensive experience in privacy, data governance, compliance, or related domain spanning two or more privacy areas
• Experience creating written documentation for executive or cross-functional audiences
