Overview

In this role, you will manage a caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals and related SEN matters within a specialist team in Reading. You will advise families, schools, local authorities and experts, delivering clear, practical guidance. The position offers hybrid working and a clear path for progression, with opportunities to contribute to the department’s growth and business development. You will work independently yet collaboratively to handle complex, meaningful work that supports outcomes for children with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals and related SEN matters
• Provide clear, practical advice to families, schools, local authorities and experts
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary network while working independently as needed
• Contribute to business development and growth of the SEN department
• Operate within a hybrid working environment and uphold firm-wide standards

Key requirements

• 2+ years’ PQE as a solicitor in SEN
• Experience handling SEND Tribunal appeals
• Excellent client-handling skills
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative, team-based environment
• Strong technical knowledge of SEN law and related matters
