Care Home Deputy Manager

Overview

In this role you support the delivery of high-quality care within a Barchester care home. You work closely with the General Manager, stepping in during their absence to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team. You monitor care standards through audits, supervised clinical practice, and regulatory checks, driving improvements to residents’ quality of life. You will develop and deliver strategic plans to achieve goals, contributing to a compassionate, energetic care environment.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of quality care and lead in the General Manager’s absence
• Inspire and manage a multidisciplinary team to optimise residents’ quality of life
• Lead by example and monitor standards via audits, clinical practice, and regulatory compliance
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve goals and improve care
• Engage in safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments
• Contribute to HR activities, sales/marketing knowledge, and budget management
• Foster an engaging, energetic workplace and maintain high care standards

Key requirements

• Experience helping residents with different health needs
• Successful track record of safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments
• HR experience
