Overview

In this role you will handle a varied caseload of property litigation matters for a Bristol firm, supporting owners, developers and funders. You will work within a collaborative team to progress court proceedings, conduct research and draft pleadings, while contributing to business development. The position emphasizes client-focused, commercially aware service and opportunities for career progression in a forward-looking firm. This is a chance to shape outcomes across landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals, dilapidations and related issues.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload including landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals, rent reviews, dilapidations, service charge disputes, possession actions, and trespass/squatter claims
• Advising property owners, developers, social housing providers, and funders
• Conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and managing court proceedings
• Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to team development
• Participating in business development and client relationship initiatives

Key requirements

• At least 2 years’ PQE in property litigation
• Strong academic credentials and technical legal expertise
• Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills
• A client-focused, commercially aware, and team-oriented mindset
