Senior Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will work on a scaling, mission-driven consumer app, balancing fast delivery with solid architecture. You’ll join a small, high-ownership engineering team backed by a major international organisation, offering stability and startup-like autonomy. You’ll design and ship features across the full stack, with a strong emphasis on backend design and TypeScript-based systems. You’ll contribute to infrastructure decisions, CI/CD in Azure, and collaborate closely with product and design to ship impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship full-stack features with emphasis on backend quality
• Lead backend design, data modelling and API quality at scale
• Contribute to infrastructure and Azure-based CI/CD decisions
• Collaborate with Head of Engineering, product and design on roadmap delivery
• Make pragmatic technical decisions balancing quality, speed, and maintainability
• Share knowledge through pairing, code reviews, and learning sessions

Key requirements

• Solid full-stack experience with deep backend expertise (APIs, data modelling, system design)
• Strong NestJS backend experience or solid Node.js background
• Frontend experience with Angular, ideally Ionic framework layer
• Pragmatic engineer who weighs trade-offs to maintain delivery momentum
• Familiarity with Azure CI/CD and monorepo tooling is a strong advantage
