Overview
In this role you will support a leading Court of Protection team within a nationally recognised firm. You will manage deputyship matters and run your own caseload under supervision, while developing expertise in areas like statutory wills and welfare benefits. You’ll help clients and families, contribute to business development, and collaborate with specialists across healthcare professionals and case managers. Responsibilities
- Manage Property & Financial Affairs Deputyship matters
- Run own caseload with supervision
- Prepare Court of Protection applications and Deputy Reports
- Support management of clients’ financial affairs, budgeting, payments and property transactions
- Assist with administration of Personal Injury Trusts
- Liaise with clients, families, case managers, healthcare professionals and advisers
- Attend client meetings and visits as required
- Develop expertise in statutory wills, care funding and welfare benefits
- Contribute to business development and strengthen client/referrer relationships
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales with 0-3 years’ PQE
- Genuine interest in Court of Protection and vulnerable client work
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, families and professionals
- Strong drafting, analytical and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Previous Court of Protection experience is advantageous, but transferable skills are welcome
