Construction Associate – Bristol – Hybrid

Overview

In this Construction Associate role, you will handle non-contentious construction matters for developers, contractors, and funders within a Bristol-based team. You’ll draft and negotiate core contracts and related documentation, support real estate transactions, and assist on disputes. You’ll work closely with a partner and wider teams in a collaborative, inclusive environment that supports your progression. This is a client-facing role with meaningful exposure to development projects and energy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating JCT and NEC contracts and bespoke construction documentation
• Advising on consultant appointments, collateral warranties, and project security documents
• Supporting real estate transactions and collaborating with wider legal teams
• Assisting with construction-related dispute matters when required

Key requirements

• 3+ years’ PQE with strong non-contentious construction experience
• Excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and ability to build lasting client relationships
