Sr. Network Engineer – Data Center and Cloud (Hybrid, London)

Overview

In this role you will design, implement, and operate CrowdStrike’s global cloud and data center network infrastructure to support scalable, secure connectivity. You will translate business needs into robust network architectures, work across multi-vendor and multi-cloud environments, and drive automation to speed deployments. You’ll troubleshoot incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and ensure compliance with data residency and security standards. Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into network design, reference architectures, and runbooks
• Design, operate, and implement global multi-vendor, multi-cloud data center networks at scale for performance and resiliency
• Deploy and manage cloud constructs (subnets, routing, VPCs, VPC-peering, PrivateLink, Hub-spoke, gateways, direct connects)
• Develop and maintain IaC and automation tooling (Ansible, Terraform; Python, Go) to provision networks at scale
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and contribute to root-cause analysis
• Participate in on-call rotations
• Implement solutions meeting regional compliance and data sovereignty requirements (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, UK G-Cloud, EU data residency / GDPR, PCI-DSS)

Key requirements

• 7+ years expert design and hands-on experience with IPv4/IPv6, Anycast, MP-BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, MPLS, EVPN/VxLAN, L3VPN, CLOS, QoS, Load-balancing, MACsec, IPsec
• 5+ years multi-cloud networking experience deploying and supporting cloud connectivity at hyperscaler, CSP or security company
• Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, Chef) and scripting (bash, Python, Go, Jinja, YAML, JSON) to deploy networks
• Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making and workflows
• Ability to drive agile cross-functional projects to completion with minimal supervision
