Implementation Consultant (Payroll)

Overview

In this role you guide customers through payroll software implementations, from requirements capture to go-live and ongoing support. You will translate client payroll processes into effective SaaS configurations, manage data migration and integrations, and provide training to ensure successful adoption. Working closely with Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success, you help deliver smooth deployments and measurable payroll outcomes. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role in a fast-growing payroll technology team with a clear impact on customers and business efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll software implementations for new and existing customers
• Translate customers’ payroll requirements into appropriate software setup
• Configure SaaS products, workflows and custom requirements
• Support data migration, integrations and testing
• Work with APIs, ETL processes and data transformation as needed
• Guide customers through UAT and readiness for go-live
• Deliver training and clearly explain software to customers
• Support customers during go-live and transition to ongoing support
• Manage multiple customer projects and priorities concurrently
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success to resolve issues
• Keep customers informed about progress, timelines, risks and issues
• Travel to customer sites when required

Key requirements

• Hands-on payroll experience and understanding of payroll processes
• Experience in SaaS/software implementation, onboarding or technical consulting
• Direct experience working with customers to gather requirements and implement solutions
• Experience with payroll software or systems
• Understanding of software configuration, workflows and integrations
• Experience with APIs, ETL, data migration or data transformation
• Ability to manage multiple customers, projects or priorities
• Ability to explain software and technical information in simple terms
• Experience with Salesforce, Jira, Confluence or similar tools would be useful
