Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you own features end to end for software used in oil and gas operations, taking ideas from spec to delivery with minimal supervision. You contribute to a high-quality codebase, participate in reviews, and mentor junior engineers while solving production issues. You work across time zones on cloud-native SaaS and on-prem solutions that power critical decisions. Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of features from analysis to delivery
• Break down complex specs into concrete tasks and manage risk
• Identify and fix weaknesses in code, tests, and processes
• Investigate production defects and perform root-cause analysis
• Apply secure coding practices and address security issues
• Review peers’ code with rigor and provide feedback
• Evaluate and integrate open-source tools to improve systems
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and guidance
• Communicate effectively across distributed teams

Key requirements

• 5–10 years of software development experience
• Proficiency in at least one: Java, C#/F#, C++, Python, or TypeScript
• Experience owning the full development cycle
• Experience debugging production software and tracing cross-component issues
• Clear written and verbal communication for technical decisions
