Overview

In this role you will be part of an AI-enabled data team that builds scalable data pipelines and metadata for unstructured content. You will work across data lakes and cloud platforms to support NLP and LLM-driven ETL, while ensuring compliance with AI-related privacy and security requirements. You will translate user needs into data sources and downstream integrations, contributing to data-driven insights in clinical development. Responsibilities

  • Handle unstructured data (documents, images, web content) and load into data lakes using Snowflake, Azure, SQL, and Python
  • Support ETL involving Large Language Models (LLMs) to process large data corpora
  • Extract structured metadata from unstructured data via NLP tools and REST APIs
  • Ensure data flow compliance with US and EU AI Acts, focusing on security, confidentiality, and privacy of PHI
  • Collaborate with AI engineers to align data sources with downstream systems
  • Develop software applications to collect, transform, and visualize data flows with full SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, release, maintenance)
  • Assist in software validation through test plan/cases/scripts
  • Communicate project updates and tools with team members
  • Provide end-user support including setup, installation, and maintenance of applications

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • 1-3+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Experience with AI tools for data extraction and NLP of unstructured content
  • Ability to model dimensional data from unstructured content; familiarity with Star Schema and Snowflake schema
  • Strong ETL development and reporting knowledge
  • Knowledge of Snowflake cloud data warehouse and Azure cloud (preferred)
  • Knowledge of REST API
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and Python
  • C# knowledge and Azure data fabric experience are a bonus
