Overview
In this role you analyze alternative data to build industry context and fundamental themes for European equities. You’ll partner with data scientists and engineers to produce insights for investment professionals, delivered as reports, briefings, and visualizations. You collaborate across data sourcing, data science, data engineering, and Compliance to extract value from data assets and inform discretionary decisions. The position offers exposure to diverse research teammates and evolving challenges aligned with a data-driven investment process.

Responsibilities
- Analyze alternative data sources to develop themes and KPIs for assigned coverage
- Produce internal research for investment professionals via written reports, verbal updates, and visualizations
- Engage with investment professionals to support discretionary investment decisions
- Collaborate with Data Sourcing, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Compliance to source and evaluate data assets as actionable research
Key requirements
- An undergraduate or advanced degree with demonstrated academic success
- 1–5 years of equity/investment/scientific/industry research or consulting experience or internships
- Proficiency in SQL and Python; ability to participate in live technical screen
- Experience using data analysis in fundamental research for business, policy, finance, or quantitative fields
- Comfort explaining novel data concepts to non-technical partners
- Passion for finance, research, and data-driven problem solving
- Strong organizational skills, creativity, and work ethic
- Ability to work productively in a team; strong verbal and written communication skills
