Overview

As a Lead C# Developer, you will shape core applications by designing and implementing business logic, APIs, and microservices. You’ll remain hands-on with architecture while guiding the team through code reviews, mentoring, and removing blockers to deliver high-quality software. The role sits at a well-funded fintech scale-up, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and influence the product roadmap. You’ll work on distributed systems at scale and help establish best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core application logic, APIs, and microservices
• Mentor and conduct code reviews to uphold quality and engineering standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to gather requirements and shape the product roadmap
• Oversee secure, reliable server environments and hands-on architecture and design
• Troubleshoot, problem solve, and remove blockers to enable delivery
• Support continuous development across the full software lifecycle

Key requirements

• Expertise with modern C# .Net Core
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience
• Experience with distributed systems and full SDLC
• Foundational CS knowledge (OOP, data structures, design patterns, algorithms)
• Willingness to work onsite in Newcastle (Mon-Fri)
• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent, 2:1 or higher
