Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team and oversee performance, budgeting, and forecasting
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives within the team and broader business
• Foster client relationships and promote WSP as the engineer of choice in DC projects
• Oversee work pipeline, project delivery, and financials to drive profitable, sustainable outcomes
• Collaborate with clients, developers, contractors and architects to secure new commissions
• Provide excellent client care and identify opportunities for additional business
• Share knowledge across the global WSP network and mentor team members
• Support business development and ensure alignment with company vision and values

Key requirements

• Chartership (CIBSE/IET/IMechE Engineering Council) or willingness to work towards
• Mechanical engineering expertise in HVAC, cooling, fuel systems, controls, and energy management
• Strong leadership and team-management capabilities
• Strategic vision with ability to align engineering initiatives to business goals
• Proven project management skills: timelines, budgets, quality
• Excellent communication and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Adaptability to evolving DC sector technologies and standards
