Plant Manager Campsie

Overview

As Plant Manager at Vertiv’s Campsie facility, you lead a 500+ person operation to deliver manufacturing excellence and world-class performance. You will shape production, quality, and cost outcomes while fostering a safe, high-performance culture across multiple functions. You’ll collaborate with regional facilities and leadership to meet customer commitments and drive continuous improvement. This role offers impact through Lean, Six Sigma, and strategic capacity planning in a global context.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations for 500+ employees and manage P&L performance
• Direct production, engineering, quality, materials, finance, facilities, and EHS teams
• Foster a union-free, engaged work environment
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure flexible, scalable production systems and capacity planning aligned with customer commitments
• Recruit, train, and develop plant leadership and frontline teams; conduct performance reviews
• Coordinate customer interactions and lead new product introductions
• Lead special projects, cost control, and accurate financial reporting
• Attend regional community and business events; interact with executives and cross-functional teams

Key requirements

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing management, including production, inventory control, cost productivity, quality systems, and fulfillment metrics
• Proven leadership and coaching capable of motivating diverse teams
• Demonstrated success in Lean, Six Sigma and structured continuous improvement
• Effective communication across all levels, including senior executives
• Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in complex, global, and sometimes ambiguous environments
• Experience with suppliers, assembly processes, and manufacturing systems (e.g., MRP)
• Ability to build cross-functional relationships
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing, 10–15 years of production management experience, and at least 5 years leading a large facility
