Overview

As Team Manager, you lead a MH Social Work team within Safeguarding Adults to deliver robust decision-making and positive outcomes for people at risk. You will foster quality practice, provide supervision and development, and work with partners to shape personalised outcomes aligned with the Living Better Lives vision. The role sits in a supportive, values-driven environment that emphasises collaboration, empathy, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to influence practice at scale within Lancashire’s Adult Social Care service.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support an MH Social Work team within the Safeguarding Adults Service
• Provide advice, oversight, and guidance to staff
• Ensure robust decision making and positive outcomes for people at risk of harm
• Promote high-quality, improving practice and performance
• Facilitate regular supervision and practice discussions to develop staff

Key requirements

• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE)
• Experience leading and managing a team in a safeguarding/mental health context
• Ability to oversee complex casework and drive outcomes
• Driver with access to a car for work-related duties
