Senior Group Treasury Systems Manager

Overview

In this role you will shape and deliver the future of Treasury technology at WPP, leading the global Treasury systems strategy and transformation. You’ll drive automation, controls, and enhanced reporting across worldwide operations, aligning with Elevate28 and cross-functional teams. You will oversee large-scale initiatives, governance, and change management while guiding a Bengaluru-based team. Responsibilities

• Define and drive the Treasury Systems strategy, roadmap and transformation agenda across the global organisation
• Deliver large-scale transformation initiatives including system upgrades, automation, integrations, data governance and process standardisation
• Manage the full project lifecycle from requirements to post-go-live support
• Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, IT, banking partners and external vendors to ensure delivery of strategic initiatives
• Serve as the liaison between Treasury and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions
• Oversee Treasury systems governance, service delivery, vendor relationships and continuous improvement
• Maintain robust control environment ensuring systems, processes and data meet governance and risk requirements
• Champion innovation through automation, analytics and AI-driven treasury solutions
• Improve data quality, reporting accuracy, operational efficiency and business insight
• Support global strategic cash management, liquidity and treasury transformation initiatives
• Develop scalable support models, processes and best practices for efficient Treasury operations worldwide
• Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance Treasury capabilities and performance

Key requirements

• Experience implementing, managing or supporting Treasury Management Systems in corporate or financial services
• Strong understanding of UK and international treasury operations including cash, liquidity, instruments and regulatory requirements
• Proven project management experience delivering complex transformation and systems initiatives on time and budget
• Advanced analytical skills with Excel, reporting tools and data-driven decision-making
• Experience integrating treasury platforms with ERPs, banking systems and payment networks (advantageous)
• Proactive problem solver with focus on process optimisation, controls and continuous improvement
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills for global collaboration
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced global environment
• Awareness of emerging technologies including AI applications in treasury
