Destination Education is a growing, boutique-style education recruitment agency with a strong presence across London.
We are a fast-paced, energetic and driven business, and we’re looking to add another ambitious Recruitment Consultant to our team as we continue to grow and establish ourselves as a real force within the education recruitment market.
Working alongside a close-knit team of three, including two Directors, you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact from day one. We’re a business that believes in developing people from within

The Role
We’re looking for a
Recruitment Consultant
to join our Primary Education team, covering
Primary, SEN and EYFS
recruitment across London and Essex.
This is a
business development-focused role . You’ll be responsible for building relationships with schools, identifying opportunities, winning new business and developing your own client base.
You’ll be supported by our existing team when you start, with access to our current resources and vacancies. As you develop your experience and confidence, you’ll progressively take ownership of your own desk and move towards a fully 360 recruitment role.This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build something for themselves within a growing company.
What you’ll be doing
Developing new business with schools across LondonBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with schools and key decision-makersMaking outbound calls and proactively promoting Destination Education from day oneIdentifying new vacancies and recruitment opportunitiesBooking meetings and school visitsManaging and developing existing client relationshipsNegotiating rates and ensuring placements work within school budgetsWorking closely with the wider recruitment team to fill vacanciesDeveloping your own client base and, over time, your own specialist deskWorking towards agreed targets and KPIsProviding a high level of service and becoming a trusted recruitment partner to your schools
Candidate attraction and recruitment will become an increasingly important part of the role as you progress, but the initial focus will be on
winning new business and developing strong school relationships.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is
ambitious, resilient, hardworking and driven by results.
Previous recruitment experience is preferred, but it’s not essential. Education recruitment experience would be advantageous, as would a background in sales or business development.
Most importantly, you’ll need to be someone who:

Recruitment can be challenging, and this isn’t a role for someone looking for an easy ride.
You’ll have targets, you’ll hear “no”, and you’ll need the resilience to keep going.
