Work Experience Placements January to March 2027

Overview

A paid-volunteering work experience programme offering students from year 10 a chance to explore multiple BA departments across the business. You will gain insight into how BA operates, from corporate functions and engineering bases to frontline airport operations at Heathrow. You will participate in one of several placements and develop an understanding of the airline industry and BA’s approach to profitability and sustainability. The programme also provides a pathway to future opportunities through the Inspire Student Ambassador progression.

Responsibilities

• participate in placement across engineering, customer service, or business
• observe and learn daily operations across BA teams
• engage with mentors and colleagues to understand departmental functions
• complete a placement task as part of the application
• progress toward potential ambassador role and future employment opportunities
