We’re looking for an experienced and inclusive engineering leader to shape the future performance, availability and reliability of GTR’s rolling stock fleet.
AsFleet Planning & Performance Manager, you’ll lead our Fleet Control function, providing strategic direction for maintenance planning, technical support and continuous improvement. Working closely with engineering, operations, Network Rail, ROSCOs and industry partners, you’ll ensure our fleets remain safe, reliable and available for the customers who depend on them every day.
What you’ll do
- Lead and develop a team of 35 fleet professionals.
- Drive fleet reliability, availability and performance improvements.
- Develop maintenance strategies that maximise fleet availability whilst controlling costs.
- Build strong partnerships across GTR and the wider rail industry.
- Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, continuous improvement and high performance.
- Ensure teams have the skills, tools and support needed to succeed.
What you’ll bring
- Significant experience in rolling stock maintenance, fleet engineering or rail operations.
- Proven leadership of large operational or engineering teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- A track record of delivering performance improvements and cultural change.
- Technical understanding of rolling stock maintenance and railway operations.
