Responsibilities

  • Delivery of profitable work on own matters
  • Strengthening client and referrer relationships
  • Defining service scopes, pricing, and charging models
  • Providing robust legal advice with market-sector knowledge
  • Contributing to departmental business plans
  • Leading BD initiatives and generating new business
  • Expanding client networks, intermediaries, and referrers
  • Developing an internal referral network within the firm
  • Supervising and coaching junior team members
  • Monitoring departmental KPIs and contributing to performance
  • Staying updated on legal trends and feeding strategy
  • Driving strategic plan elements including service lines and product development

Key requirements

  • 7+ years’ PQE
  • Solid business plan and demonstrable growth proposition for Bristol market
  • Strong client management and service commitment
  • Proven ability to win new business through BD
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Desirable: Tribunal litigation experience
