Overview
In this Senior Data Engineer role you will lead data transformation initiatives for EMEA & APAC, shaping next-generation data capabilities on a mature Databricks Lakehouse. You will work with a cross-functional team to design scalable data models, automate ingestion, and govern agentic AI workflows at enterprise scale. The role focuses on turning data into trusted, actionable insights across domains, with a strong emphasis on production reliability and data quality. You will be at the frontier of AI-enabled data engineering, driving architecture decisions and platform evolution. This is an impactful, hands-on position in a fast-growing effort with a clear path to influence the platform’s方向.

Responsibilities
- Build agentic AI-backed data engineering workflows and CI/CD processes
- Maintain and incrementally improve the AI-amplified Databricks framework
- Design data models to unify global data sources into a coherent structure
- Develop data solutions for domains such as MDM, geocoding, client mastering, and profiling
- Create stable, automated data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources
- Own production troubleshooting, RCA, and data quality improvements
- Report on data quality and quantify improvements
Key requirements
- Systems thinking for scalable design
- Production troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Data modeling with cross-functional data products and contracts
- Advanced SQL with window functions and MERGE/UPSERT
- Python and PySpark proficiency with JSON/CSV/Parquet
- Deep Databricks experience (Declarative Pipelines, DABS, Delta Lake, Spark optimization, job orchestration)
- Familiarity with Azure ecosystem and Unity Catalog
- Around 6+ years of relevant experience
- Degree in a quantitative field (see required_education)
