Priory HospitalBristol, Stapleton, Bristol is a specialist mental health andaddiction treatment service for individuals, families and couples.It provides fast access to treatment for a range of psychiatricconditions and addictions. It is accessible by public transport,with local bus routes serving Stapleton and Bristol Parkway railwaystation approximately 2–3 miles from thehospital.
What you’ll bedoing
You will be part of acompassionate team that is committed to supporting people’swellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapiesto help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier,more fulfilling future.
Deliver prescribed,person-centred nursing care to a defined patient group, workingcollaboratively with patients, carers, families and themultidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluatecare. Act as a named nurse, monitor and review care plans, respondappropriately to changes in patients’ needs and conditions, andaddress concerns or complaints proactively. Prioritise and delegatenursing duties effectively, undertake nurse-in-chargeresponsibilities when required, and promote a safe, supportiveenvironment. Maintain professional relationships with patients,relatives, colleagues and visitors while contributing to clinicalmeetings, supervision and reflective practice. Support thedevelopment of newly qualified staff through preceptorship,maintain ongoing professional development in line with NMCrequirements, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, MentalCapacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, medicinesmanagement, Priory policies and the NMCCode. What you’ll bringto the role
Essentialfor therole
- QualifiedRegistered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months postregistration experience with active NMC Registration and completedpreceptorshipprogramme
Thefollowing experience would be beneficial
- Minimum 6 months post registrationexperience within Mental Health or Learning Disabilities CareEnvironment.
