Overview
In this role you will design, develop and commission control system software for manufacturing and process clients. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver PLC/SCADA/HMI solutions, configure networks and support site integration. You’ll help improve standards and documentation while contributing to a safety‑focused, innovative engineering culture. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver control system software from design to handover
- Configure PLCs, SCADA and industrial communications networks
- Perform FAT/SAT testing, commissioning and site integration
- Provide documentation, technical support and system updates
- Collaborate with clients and multi‑disciplinary teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement and shared standards
Key requirements
- Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell/AB, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Siemens)
- SCADA/HMI development skills (Aveva System Platform)
- Knowledge of industrial communications (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus, OPC/UA)
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within project teams
- Degree in Controls/Software/Electronics or similar (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
