Full-Time, PermanentThe OpportunityInteraction Technical are working in partnership with a well-established and growing Material Handling and Access Solutions business to recruit an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter.With customers and sites across the UK, the company is continuing to expand and is looking for a skilled engineer to join its growing field service team.This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically and electrically capable engineer looking for a long-term career, excellent earning potential and the opportunity to develop their technical skills.The Package£40,000–£45,000 basic salaryOTE of £50,000+Door-to-door travel paidOvertime available and paid at 1.5×Company van and fuel cardReasonable private use of company vehicle24 days annual leave + public holidays (32 days total)Company pension schemeFull training and ongoing developmentFurther training across electrical, mechanical, diagnostic and fault-finding systemsAll travel time and expenses paid when travelling from home to customer sitesExcellent opportunities for progression and career developmentThe RoleAs a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of plant and material handling equipment at customer sites.Your responsibilities will include:Diagnosing faults and carrying out servicing, maintenance and emergency breakdown repairsWorking on plant, lifting and material handling equipmentCarrying out mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairsWorking with hydraulic and pneumatic systemsWorking on engines, batteries and associated plant systemsTravelling to customer sites to carry out repairs and preventative maintenanceProviding professional technical support and solutions to customersWorking independently while also collaborating with colleagues and the wider engineering teamCompleting accurate service reports and documentationEnsuring equipment is repaired safely, efficiently and to a high standardAbout YouThe ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the plant, construction, agricultural, material handling or similar engineering sectors.You will ideally have:Previous experience working on mobile plant machinery (excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers etc.)
