As an Environment Senior Associate at Pinsent Masons, you will advise on high-profile environmental, climate, and regulatory matters within a leading Planning & Environment team. You’ll support large-scale infrastructure and energy projects, shaping sustainability strategies and navigating regulatory frameworks. You’ll draft complex contracts and contribute to business development while collaborating with top specialists across the firm. This role offers exposure to contentious and non-contentious work in a market-leading environment practice.

Responsibilities

• Advise on environmental regulatory matters, including permitting and compliance
• Support large-scale infrastructure and energy projects and transactions
• Provide guidance on enforcement matters and regulatory risk
• Draft and negotiate complex contractual arrangements related to sustainability and environmental initiatives
• Work on carbon markets, biodiversity net gain, and nature-based solutions
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development
• Collaborate with colleagues across the national practice

Key requirements

• England & Wales qualified lawyer
• 8+ years PQE
