Senior Solutions Architect – UK Public Sector, Central Government

Overview

In this role you drive the technical relationship with public sector customers, recommending secure, cost-effective, and high-performing cloud architectures. You’ll shape AWS platform improvements, mentor peers, and create scalable cloud-native reference architectures. You collaborate across teams to evangelize AWS technology through workshops, content, and events, helping public sector customers realise the art of the possible with hyper-scale cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with customers and advise on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Recommend best-practice architectures and drive continual improvements to AWS platform based on customer needs
• Help shape the Solutions Architecture organization through hiring, coaching and mentoring
• Develop and document cloud-native reference architectures and share them with the AWS SA community
• Create and share best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (white papers, code samples, blog posts)
• Educate customers about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences
• Advocate for customer needs to inform the AWS feature/service roadmap
• Demonstrate how technology translates into tangible solutions and potential scale for public sector clients

Key requirements

• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Knowledge of cloud architecture
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders
• Experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
• Eligible and willing to undergo UK Security Clearance
