Azumi is looking for a qualified Financial Controller to take responsibility for financial control and performance across our UK and European restaurant portfolio.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes being close to the business. You’ll combine strong technical financial control with commercial analysis and business partnering in a fast-paced, multi-site hospitality environment, working with our Head of FP&A and senior operational leaders to maintain strong financial governance and help our restaurants perform at their best.
What you’ll be doing
- Working with senior operational teams on P&L ownership, analysis and financial insight
- Partnering across Operations, Supply Chain and Marketing to find ways to improve financial performance
- Tracking performance against key KPIs and turning the numbers into clear, actionable commercial insight
- Supporting financial planning for new restaurant openings and building models for business cases
- Managing budget and forecast submissions as part of the global FP&A process
- Producing accurate, timely monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow) with clear commentary
- Maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
- Overseeing day-to-day financial processes, including accounting, treasury and tax compliance
- Delivering reporting in line with group and regulatory requirements, and supporting the global audit process
What we’re looking for
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum five years’ experience in senior finance roles; hospitality, retail or another multi-site consumer business is a plus
- Strong working knowledge of ERP platforms, financial systems and data analysis tools
- Confidence using data to spot trends and support decisions
- The ability to turn financial information into practical insight for non-finance colleagues
- A commercial, curious mindset, and the confidence to challenge constructively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to build strong relationships with senior operational leaders
