Senior Lead Software Engineer – Go / Kubernetes / Python – Public Cloud Engineering

Overview

In this role, you will lead design and implementation of platform services for IAM across multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will guide architecture direction, deliver secure and scalable software, and drive operational excellence in a ground-level IAM team. You’ll mentor engineers, foster cross-team collaboration, and land coherent designs with stakeholders. This is an opportunity to shape a new engineering culture and raise the bar for technical quality in a regulated financial services context.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of platform services with a focus on architecture and reliability
• Develop, review, and maintain secure production code
• Automate remediation to improve operational stability
• Lead design reviews and architecture discussions for scalable delivery
• Collaborate with platform architecture, trust/authorization teams, and IAM consumers
• Lead communities of practice to promote new technologies
• Mentor and coach engineers; foster inclusive, high-performance culture

Key requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience delivering system design and operations
• Experience with IAM platforms, RBAC, or entitlement governance at scale
• Proficiency in one or more languages/frameworks such as Go, Python, Java, Kubernetes, or Terraform
• Cloud-native experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Automation and continuous delivery proficiency
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, resilience, and security
• Ability to translate engineering decisions into business outcomes
• Effective communication for technical and non-technical audiences
• Responsible use of approved AI tooling with quality checks
