Overview

As Head of Corporate Finance, lead and grow the advisory division within a leading independent Glasgow Chartered Accountants firm. You will steer a high-performing team across deal origination and execution, including M&A, disposals, buyouts, fundraising and strategic advisory. You’ll shape the corporate finance strategy, nurture relationships with clients and intermediaries, and pursue new opportunities to broaden the firm’s advisory reach. The role blends technical excellence with commercial acumen in a culture that values innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Head and grow the corporate finance advisory team
• Drive deal origination and execution across a diverse portfolio of transactions
• Shape the corporate finance strategy for the firm
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, intermediaries, and stakeholders
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Inspire, develop, and lead a capable team
• Deliver value through strategic advisory and client-focussed services

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Significant corporate finance experience
• Proven track record leading transactions from inception to completion
• Strong client-facing skills
• Ability to inspire and develop a team
• Strategic thinking and commercial awareness
• Experience in the Scottish market advantageous but not essential
