Overview

In this role you will lead the homeware buying agenda within the Homeware and General Merchandise team, shaping profitable product ranges for a global supply chain business. You’ll collaborate with Buyers, Category Managers, and the wider team to drive new ranges, manage margins, and ensure timely launches. You’ll analyze marketplace trends, oversee sample processes, and source overseas suppliers, helping us deliver impactful product concepts from idea to retail. This is a fast-paced, collaborative opportunity with exposure to end-to-end product development and design.

Responsibilities

  • Own accounts and drive sales targets across homeware categories
  • Create commercial product ranges aligned with customer needs and margins
  • Oversee sample processes (lab dips, strike-offs, red/gold seals)
  • Perform competitor analysis and SWOT to inform development
  • Follow the Product Development process from ideation to launch
  • Analyze marketplace trends to identify trending products for customers
  • Collaborate with overseas suppliers, attend trade fairs for sourcing
  • Meet deadlines and coordinate launches with multiple customers
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Travel to customer offices and overseas factories as needed

Key requirements

  • Experience across all homeware categories
  • Strong understanding of customers, competitors, and market trends
  • Track record of delivering profitable categories and margins
  • Experience with sample sign-off processes and product development timelines
  • Ability to analyze margins and cost of goods and calculate customer-friendly pricing
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers and factories
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
