Senior Real Estate Lawyer

Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a Senior Real Estate Lawyer to lead complex, high-value real estate investment transactions in London. The role covers private equity real estate, corporate real estate M&A, joint ventures and strategic asset management for major domestic and international clients.

This is a senior client-facing position with responsibility for driving transactions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supervising junior lawyers and supporting the continued development of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise complex cross-border and portfolio M&A transactions in the real estate sector.
• Advise on the structuring, operation and exit of joint ventures and other indirect real estate investment structures.
• Act as a senior client contact, providing strategic legal and commercial advice.
• Drive transactions forward while managing legal risk and coordinating tax, finance and real estate specialists.
• Lead asset and portfolio management matters, including reorganisations, refinancings and exits.
• Supervise and develop junior lawyers and trainees.
• Support business development through pitches, thought leadership and client initiatives.

Requirements

• Senior lawyer, typically with 6+ years’ PQE.
• Strong technical expertise in real estate investment transactions.
• Experience leading complex transactions and managing deals.
• Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial judgement and client-facing capability.
• Proven ability to lead teams and supervise junior lawyers.
