Applied AI Engineer/Data Scientist | London | £90k + Equity | Pre-Seed FinTech
OB have recently partnered with a London-based FinTech currently raising their pre-seed round, looking for an experienced AI/Data Science hire to join their small team as they enter their next stage of growth.
This is very much a build, ship and own environment.
You’ll be working on the hard problems behind financial data automation, extracting and matching information often from messy, unstructured data.
The technical challenges include:
- Confidence scoring & threshold calibration
- Building evaluation infrastructure and harnesses
- Designing structure in an inherently ambiguous environment
They’re AI-native from the ground up, treating LLMs as infrastructure rather than simply adding AI features to an existing product.
The ideal background:
- 3+ years shipping applied ML/AI into production
- Strong Python
- Proven hands-on experience with LLMs in production
- Experience in FinTech, LegalTech, Insurance or another regulated environment
- Comfortable with ambiguity and high levels of autonomy
The opportunity:
- 3-4 days a week in London
