Technical Lead Developer

Are you a Lead Developer/Tech Lead looking for a role where you can have real influence on how things are built and improved?

We’re working with a well-established Scottish financial services business that’s going through a significant transformation. They’re investing heavily in their systems and need someone who can help shape and deliver that change from a technical perspective.

This is a hands‑on role, but with a strong leadership element — ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working closely with the business, and helping others develop.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the design and development of key systems and projects
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and shape solutions
• Improving existing processes, particularly across policy administration systems
• Supporting and mentoring other developers in the team
• Getting involved in the full lifecycle — from design through to delivery
• Working with third‑party suppliers to make sure solutions are delivered properly

What they’re looking for

• Experience in a Lead Development capacity
• Background in Life & Pensions is essential
• Experience working on regulatory or transformation projects
• Experience with SSIS and working with data
• Someone who’s practical, solutions‑focused, and comfortable working through complex problems
• A team player who’s happy to support and guide others
