Lead Software Engineer – AI/Java Full Stack

Overview

As a Lead Software Engineer in Corporate Technology, you will guide the design and delivery of secure, scalable software across domains, partnering with business and tech stakeholders to enable strategic platforms. You’ll lead architecture decisions, mentor peers, and drive production-grade solutions that balance speed, reliability, and security. The role blends hands-on coding with strategic oversight to support enterprise objectives. You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment focused on AI-enabled services, data platforms, and cloud-native engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative software solutions
• Build and maintain secure, production-grade code and mentor engineers
• Drive architecture decisions for scalability, resiliency, and zero-downtime deployments
• Automate operations to improve stability and efficiency
• Develop data-intensive and statistical solutions using Java/Scala on large-scale datasets
• Design and build AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows
• Work across hybrid data ecosystems (AWS, Databricks, Kubernetes)
• Ensure code quality via unit/integration testing and continuous validation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions respecting enterprise standards

Key requirements

• Significant software engineering experience with formal training or equivalent
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot; SQL and React knowledge
• Experience designing scalable, secure distributed systems
• Understanding of microservices, event-driven, API-first architectures
• CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS/EKS), and IaC
• API design (REST, GraphQL) and integration patterns
• Hands-on experience on AWS or other public clouds
• Experience with Generative AI systems (RAG, LangChain, LlamaIndex, AI orchestration) and responsible AI practices
