Senior Software Engineer (C++)

Overview

In this role you will reinforce Rockstar’s online environments by building and refining anti-cheat, anti-tamper, and anti-piracy measures. You’ll work within the Core Security team to protect players, employees, and intellectual property, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate secure solutions into games. You will tackle vulnerabilities, analyze performance, and ensure high-quality cross-platform software. This position offers a chance to influence the security of celebrated titles from a premier studio.

Responsibilities

• Create and innovate security solutions to protect products from vulnerabilities
• Research and implement anti-tamper and anti-cheat technologies
• Debug issues related to obfuscation and anti-tamper mechanisms
• Profile protected and unprotected code for performance targets
• Follow SDLC to integrate security into game team operations
• Test cross-platform software to ensure quality

Key requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a software/security development team using C++
• Experience with security and/or game development
• Excellent problem-solving with debugging C++ code
• Analytical skills for measuring system performance and memory use; good communication
• Ability to drive objectives from ideation to execution
