Overview

In this role you will support Wellcome’s property assets, ensuring safe, compliant and well-managed portfolios. You will work with the Investments team to oversee external agents and align activities with long-term investment objectives. You’ll handle stakeholder relations, project coordination and governance reporting to drive value and a positive tenant experience. Responsibilities

  • Manage property enquiries and stakeholder relationships as first point of contact; liaise with residents, tenants, agents and advisers
  • Support day-to-day portfolio management: coordinate actions, monitor managing agent performance, assist with budgets, contracts, rent reviews, site inspections and service charge activities
  • Help ensure statutory and regulatory compliance; maintain records, support audits, monitor obligations, escalate risks
  • Coordinate property projects and improvement initiatives with contractors/consultants to meet safety, compliance and asset enhancement goals
  • Contribute to governance, reporting and oversight: prepare reports, track actions, support governance forums, update senior stakeholders
  • Promote a positive tenant experience and act as a responsible landlord; align activities with Wellcome policies and values

Key requirements

  • Strong knowledge of property investment with commercial awareness and balance of compliance, cost and asset value
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills; ability to prioritise across multiple workstreams
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to influence external partners and report to internal stakeholders
  • Analytical, detail-oriented and rigorous approach to compliance and risk management
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. AssocRICS, MTPI or equivalent) desirable
