Salesforce Principal Software Engineer x2 – CGT10/11

Overview

In this role you lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure Salesforce solutions for a global asset management platform. You will drive engineering standards, complex integrations, and DevOps maturity while mentoring engineers. You’ll translate business needs into robust technical solutions and explore AI-enabled enhancements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact client journeys and maintain platform integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and hands-on development across Salesforce for Public and Private businesses
• Own engineering standards, code quality, governance, and platform integrity
• Design and build integrations connecting Salesforce with upstream/downstream systems
• Advance DevOps maturity with CI/CD, automated testing, and release management
• Deliver proofs-of-value and proofs-of-concept to validate ideas and de-risk delivery
• Apply emerging AI capabilities (e.g., Salesforce Einstein) to improve productivity and client engagement
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and raise team technical capability

Key requirements

• Extensive hands-on Salesforce development experience in a large global financial services organization (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, declarative config)
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I minimum; Platform Developer II or Architect certifications desirable
• Strong REST/SOAP API integration experience; MuleSoft experience
• DevOps/CI-CD tooling experience (Git, Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps) and automated testing
• Deep Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security, governor limits, and best practices
• Hands-on experience producing technical designs, specs, and well-tested code
• Broad engineering experience across multiple capabilities, systems, and teams
• Solid understanding of end-to-end SDLC and modern engineering disciplines
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to communicate technical concepts to varied audiences
• Experience working with global colleagues and sensitivity to time zones and culture
