Health & Care Regulatory Associate/Sr Associate-Bristol-5+ PQE

Overview

In this role you will support a leading health and social care regulatory team to advise and represent clients across health, social care, education and housing sectors. You’ll handle a mix of advisory work and litigation, including inquests and tribunals, while developing client relationships and leading junior lawyers. The position combines regulatory counsel with advocacy, within a collaborative, supportive culture that values development and wellbeing. You will help shape outcomes for clients at scale and across complex regulatory matters, contributing to the firm’s growth and reputation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad mix of advisory and litigation matters
• Represent clients at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and Tribunals
• Advise on regulatory, health, social care and education issues
• Support clients in the lead up to and during inquest proceedings, including conducting advocacy
• Supervise junior colleagues and contribute to team development
• Build strong client relationships and support business development initiatives

Key requirements

• 5+ years PQE in health and social care law
• Strong experience advising on inquests and conducting advocacy
• Confidence working with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Excellent technical ability, organisation and attention to detail
• Proactive, commercial and solutions focused mindset
• Enthusiasm for developing skills and taking on new challenges
• Experience contributing to business development
