Overview

As an Associate Solicitor in General Liability in Bristol, you join a national law firm’s liability team to support insurers with personal injury and regulatory matters. You will manage a diverse caseload, from fast track PI to health & safety investigations and product regulation, while shaping coverage strategies. The role emphasizes high-quality client service, process improvement, and collaboration across teams, with opportunities to engage in business development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and attend key client meetings, contributing to the firm’s growth and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload: fast track, intermediate, and multi-track personal injury claims
• Handle health and safety investigations, prosecutions, and inquests
• Work on product regulation and liability matters
• Advise on insurance coverage and legal strategy
• Deliver high-quality client service aligned with SLAs
• Contribute to process improvement and team development
• Attend client events and meetings (primarily in London)
• Support business development and client initiatives

Key requirements

• NQ-4 years PQE or equivalent experience in personal injury litigation
• Strong knowledge of legal procedures and claims handling
• Interest or experience in product law and health & safety regulation
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage client relationships and deliver commercial solutions
• Commitment to business development and practice growth
