Overview

In this role you support a national Clean Energy practice in Bristol, working with senior lawyers to handle a mix of commercial, regulatory, and project-focused matters. You will contribute to high-profile clean energy projects and transactions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across real estate, corporate, finance, and environment. You address contracts, regulatory considerations, and project development issues that drive energy transition initiatives. Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate energy-related contracts (PPA, offtake, supply agreements)
• Advise on regulatory and Ofgem licensing matters
• Support clean energy developments, acquisitions, and disposals
• Work on grid connections, IDNOs, and private wire structures
• Engage in low carbon regimes (CfDs, Capacity Market, REGOs) and related support services
• Assist with project development across solar, wind, battery storage, biogas, and other technologies
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across real estate, construction, corporate, finance, environment, planning and dispute resolution

Key requirements

• 5-7 years PQE in clean energy, commercial, projects or regulatory work
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage complex matters independently
• Collaborative approach and cross-team work
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proactive, commercially minded outlook
• Experience with energy-related contracts and advisory roles
