Apply for the Finance Director
Location: London
Job Description:

Partner Financial is working with a high-growth, highly accredited specialist services business (part of a wider international group) delivering multi-site operations and management solutions on a nationwide scale. The organisation combines a people-led approach with technology-enabled operations, backed by major industry standards and accreditations.

As the business continues to scale and evolve within a complex, service-led environment, they are looking to appoint a Finance Director into a high-impact, 12-month leadership role. This position will play a critical role in steering the financial strategy, leading the UK finance function, and empowering a high-performing team to deliver accurate, timely insights that drive confident executive decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic yet hands-on finance leader with a strong track record of driving change within dynamic, multi-entity environments. The role will suit an individual excited by the opportunity to shape a forward-thinking, technology-enabled finance platform.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading monthly close, board packs, and commentary, presenting insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Owning budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range planning, aligning finance closely with operational drivers.
  • Managing cashflow, treasury routines, and balance sheet integrity, including rigorous reconciliations and controls.
  • Coordinating external audits, tax compliance, and statutory filings in partnership with advisors.
  • Developing people, structures, and processes within the finance team to drive continuous improvement and clear succession.
  • Partnering with operations and group functions to optimise pricing, cost management, and system scaling.
  • Driving transformation across reporting, controls, ERP, or business intelligence tools.
  • Improving unit economics, pricing models, and cost-to-serve metrics through close operational partnering.

The candidate:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven senior finance leadership experience at Finance Director level within a service-led, multi-entity, or contract-based business.
  • Demonstrable track record of leading a finance function and driving transformation across reporting, controls, and systems.
  • A genuine developer of people, skilled at creating a positive, accountable team culture and coaching high performers.
  • Strong appreciation for robust controls, clean audits, reliable cashflow management, and zero-surprise environments.
  • Commercially minded and hands-on, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with rapid execution at pace.
  • Comfortable navigating group reporting requirements, private equity-backed environments, and multi-stakeholder structures.
