Sr. Software Engineer – AI/ML – AI Platform

Overview

As a Senior AI Engineer at Addepar, you architect and deliver AI-native capabilities for our platform, turning prototypes into scalable production services. You’ll own end-to-end AI components, including LLMs, agentic frameworks, and cross-platform tools, ensuring robust, high-performance systems. You’ll partner with product teams to translate strategy into tangible tech solutions, driving rapid delivery and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact, frontier-AI role in a fast-growing wealth tech company.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end execution of AI-native products from prototype to production
• Architect and productionize core AI components (LLMs, vector DBs, prompt tuning)
• Develop agentic frameworks and core agent capabilities (MCP/cross-platform tool use, web browsing, computer use)
• Enforce technical discipline and operational excellence across AI offerings
• Iterate rapidly on AI products based on performance metrics and user feedback
• Evaluate and adopt new AI tech to stay at the industry frontier
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to translate strategy into technical solutions

Key requirements

• Extensive backend software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, gRPC, AWS, and Kubernetes
• Proven track record shipping production-grade systems
• Experience shipping or building AI-native products or strong personal AI projects
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
• (Preferred) Experience with LLMs and agentic systems
• (Preferred) Hands-on with Databricks, Langchain, MLFlow
• (Preferred) Understanding of probabilistic systems underpinning modern LLMs
• (Preferred) AI product experience in finance is a plus
