Sr Lead Software Engineer (C++ / FICC Etrading)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others’ work
• Influence product design, functionality, and operational processes
• Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas
• Contribute to engineering community by advocating SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices
• Encourage adoption of leading-edge technologies across projects
• Foster an inclusive team culture
• Drive AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and operational outcomes with measurable validation standards
• Utilize SDLC tools and AI-assisted capabilities to enhance automation at scale

Key requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering and 10+ years of applied experience
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced knowledge of C and C++
• Experience leading the use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations for AI outputs validation
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, and security
• Advanced knowledge in cloud, AI/ML, mobile, or related technical disciplines
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with minimal oversight
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
