£60,000 + £5,500 SAP Payment + Overtime

Industrial Environment | Mechanical Engineering | BOAS & Pressure Systems

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Mechanical SAP/AP for designated systems.
• Oversee steam, boiler and pressure system activities.
• Manage mechanical isolations and Permit to Work procedures.
• Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are followed.
• Ensure statutory inspections and compliance requirements are met.
• Carry out inspections, audits and technical checks.
• Provide technical support and assistance with mechanical faults.
• Liaise with engineers, contractors and site management.
• Maintain accurate engineering and compliance records.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to required standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical SAP / AP.
• Strong steam, boiler and pressure systems experience.
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification or time-served background.
• Experience with Permit to Work and mechanical isolation procedures.
• Strong knowledge of RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Understanding of statutory compliance and pressure systems safety.
• Experience within industrial, manufacturing or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.

BOAS qualification is desirable but not essential; strong steam experience is essential.
