Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Wirral, Merseyside

Are you passionate about supporting young childrens’ learning and development? Our client, a vibrant primary school in the Wirral, is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on childrens’ educational journeys within a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting students to access lesson content and achieve their learning goals, including those with SEND needs
• Collaborating with teachers to plan engaging lessons and assess student progress
• Helping children develop independent learning skills and manage their own progress
• Working with small groups or individual pupils on targeted activities
• Building positive relationships with students to support their wellbeing and personal development
• Communicating with parents and carers to support each child’s success
• Providing flexible support across different areas of the school as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or currently working towards it)
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above)
• Experience supporting children in Key Stage 1 or EYFS
• Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with SEND
• Understanding of child development and learning processes
• Positive behaviour management skills
• Good communication skills, empathy, patience, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations
• UK right to work (please note, sponsorship cannot be offered for this position)
