Twin Otter Captain (DHC‑6) – UK & Channel Islands

The opportunity

Take command of a specialist STOL aircraft in some of the UK’s most distinctive regional operations. As a Twin Otter Captain with Skybus, you’ll deliver essential connectivity and life-saving medevac missions while enjoying predictable daytime flying and the rare satisfaction of hands‑on utility aviation.

What you’ll do

• Exercise command responsibility on the DHC‑6 Twin Otter in a multi‑crew environment.
• Operate scheduled passenger, freight and mail services between UK and Guernsey bases.
• Undertake time‑critical medevac missions across the British Isles.
• Apply rigorous airmanship, SOPs and CRM to maintain the highest safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, ground and ops teams to deliver reliable, customer‑focused services.

What you’ll bring

• Valid UK CAA flight crew licence.
• The unrestricted right to work in the UK.
• Proven experience as an airline pilot in multi‑crew operations, with prior turboprop or regional airline experience.
• Strong decision‑making, situational awareness and a safety‑first mindset.

Preferred experience

• Previous or current DHC‑6 Twin Otter time.
• Light multi‑engine utility experience (e.g., King Air, Shorts, BN‑2 Islander).
• Regional turboprop experience (e.g., Saab 340, EMB‑120, ATR, Dash 8).
• Comparable STOL operations experience.
