Senior HR Business Partner
Location: Brighton, UK
Working Pattern: 4 days onsite, 1 day working from home
Contract: Interim / Contract, with strong potential to become permanent
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a large, international organisation to recruit an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join their UK HR function.
This is a broad, hands-on HRBP position where you will work closely with senior stakeholders and employees across the UK business, while also gaining exposure to colleagues and initiatives within the wider US business group.
The role would suit an experienced HR professional who enjoys combining strategic business partnering with operational HR delivery and is comfortable working within a complex, fast-paced organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders and managers across the UK business, providing pragmatic and commercially focused HR advice.
- Lead on employee relations, absence and leave management, ensuring cases are handled effectively and consistently.
- Support the management and delivery of UK employee benefits.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to the wider people and culture agenda.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support workforce planning and recruitment activity.
- Provide HR insight and guidance across the employee lifecycle.
- Support the implementation of a new payroll system, working alongside relevant internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Use HR systems and people data to identify trends and support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with the wider international HR function, with the opportunity to become involved in projects and activities across the US business group.
- Support wider HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
About You
We are looking for an established HR Business Partner who can quickly establish credibility within the organisation.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Strong generalist HR experience within a business partnering environment.
- Good knowledge of UK benefits, leave, absence management and employee relations.
- Experience supporting employee engagement and wider people initiatives.
- Confidence partnering with Talent Acquisition and senior business stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively across different levels of an organisation.
- Experience working with HR systems such as SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft and/or Power BI would be beneficial.
- Exposure to payroll or payroll implementation projects would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
- Experience within manufacturing, defence, industrial, healthcare or another complex operational environment would be welcomed, although sector background is flexible.
- Experience working within an international or US-owned organisation would be advantageous.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This is a particularly attractive opportunity for someone looking for a role with breadth, autonomy and international exposure. Alongside taking ownership of the UK HR agenda, you will have the opportunity to build relationships across the wider global organisation and contribute to US-facing initiatives.
The organisation is ideally looking for someone who can initially join on an interim/contract basis, with the intention of transitioning the successful individual into a permanent position. They are open-minded around the timescale for this transition.
