Overview

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you drive secure, scalable technology delivery within an agile team at JPMorganChase. You provide technical guidance, craft high-quality production code, and govern AI-assisted development practices to raise code quality and delivery speed. You influence product design and operational excellence while acting as a domain expert across the SDLC. This role offers impact at scale through cross-team collaboration and responsible AI usage in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others’ code
• Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams with measurable standards
• Utilize SDLC tools and AI-assisted automation to improve value at scale
• Influence product design, functionality, and technical operations
• Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in focus areas
• Contribute to engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks and practices

Key requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming languages
• Experience leading use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools with ability to set team expectations for AI output validation
• Strong understanding of responsible AI in engineering, including data sensitivity and security requirements
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Regional experience in NAMR/APAC, or EMEA/LATAM as specified
