A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a modern and forward-thinking accountancy practice for an Accountant to join their growing team in Bolton.This role would suit an individual with previous accountancy practice experience who is AAT Level 3 qualified or currently working towards it, and is looking to develop their career within a supportive and technology-focused environment.
Unlike a traditional accountancy practice, you will have the opportunity to manage your own portfolio of clients and gain broad exposure across accounts, VAT, payroll and general accounting, rather than being restricted to one particular area.The practice works predominantly with contractors, freelancers, sole traders and small limited companies, providing a varied client base and excellent opportunity to develop strong technical and client-facing skills.
Accountant Job Overview
- Manage a portfolio of clients and provide support across their day-to-day accounting requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of accounts for sole traders and small limited companies.
- Prepare and assist with VAT returns and submissions.
- Support payroll processing and related administration.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to queries and providing ongoing support.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Work across a range of cloud-based accounting systems and modern digital processes.
- Take responsibility for your own workload while receiving ongoing training and support from the wider team.

Accountant Job Requirements
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
- AAT Level 3 qualified or currently studying towards AAT.
- Experience across accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT and/or payroll would be beneficial.
